Where the Wild Things Are 50th Anniversary Edition

Although WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE has been in print for 50 years, reproduction of the magnificent artwork has never come close to the brilliance of the original art-until now. With new separations of the artwork, Maurice Sendak’s classic springs to life and off the page in spectacular spread after spread. Sendak himself was able to see the new separations before his death in May, 2012 and was “flabbergasted” at the beauty of the reproduction. Maurice Sendak’s WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE was published in 1963 to much critical acclaim. Though many parents and librarians thought the book too scary, it won the 1964 Caldecott Medal and the hearts of the many children who roared their terrible roars with Max and the Wild Things through the decades and still do.
