TheCooperoceraswas a genus of nautiloid cephalopod from the Permian Period that resembled a spiny ammonite. It was around 4 long and 3 inches tall. It is believed that the Cooperoceras was a carnivore that consumed small animals.

The Cooperoceras had a coiled shell which allowed it to live deep in the ocean. Today, the Cooperoceras has living relatives like octopus, squid and cuttlefish.
